Yankee Dryer / MG Cylinder

When producing one-side glazed paper or using free pulp to produce thin paper or tissue paper, only a big dryer cylinder(or we also call it MG cylinder or Yankee cylinder) is often used. Or a MG cylinder is given priority to used, and then set up a number of ordinary structure form of dryer cylinder in the end of the drying section. 

MG cylinder or Yankee cylinder are usually 2.5-4.5 meters in diameter and do not equip with dry felt. When the wet paper sheet pass through the touch roll, the paper sheet is tightly press on the smooth surface of the MG dryer with good heat transfer and high efficiency dryer hood, the MG cylinder evaporation rate is very high, it usually 4-5 times than the ordinary dryer cylinder.
